In the early 1980’s this center was to service the house expansion in the area. The Westover Company purchased the center in 2017 and realized that the center required an updated look. This update included adding structural steel within retail spaces to build decorative parapet walls, new ADA compliant sidewalks, new storefronts, column enclosures and signage. We had to complete the renovation while the center remained open to the public. We took safety measures to make sure the retail customers always had access to the store while we completed our work. The siding and trim is James Hardie, which we used to update the façade of the building, along with Kawneer tri-fab storefront frames with insulted glass.
Best Retail Project 2019
A.T. Construction’s work on the Audubon Shopping Center was also recognized in the Mid Atlantic Real Estate Journal as the Best Retail Project in 2019.
